Growing up in the real estate business, watching his father sell and manage properties, Randy received his early training by helping in the maintenance and renovation of personal investment houses. A graduate of Grand Prairie High School, he attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State), and obtained his own real estate license in 1985. For several years he owned and operated a construction firm in Colorado -- not pleasant duty in the wintertime! He moved his boys back to sunny Grand Prairie to be nearer family and friends, and went into business with Buddy in his full-service real estate company
In addition to listing, selling and leasing properties, he also manages a full-time construction crew that provides maintenance services for the company as well as large and small project remodeling and renovation services for the public.
Randy has been active in the community, serving as a member of the Grand Prairie Arts Council Board of Directors, and as a co-founder and Board member of the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, who recognized him for Outstanding Contributions to NAHREP. He is a graduate of Leadership Grand Prairie, and is a PADI certified Divemaster and Assistant Instructor. He has worked on numerous Chamber of Commerce projects and is a supporter of Habitat for Humanity, Safe Haven of Fort Worth, Children First, Brighter Tomorrows and Mission Arlington. He is a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church.
Many of his activities have centered around his three boys, Austin, Christian and Charlie, whom he raised as a single dad. He has coached basketball, baseball, and soccer teams, and served as a TaeKwonDo tournament coach. He is an Eagle Scout (as is his son Charlie), and has served Boy Scouts of America as Scoutmaster for Troop 498, three years as District Chairman for Mountain Lake District, a Woodbadge Leader, a Philmont Adventure veteran, and he attended the 2011 National Jamboree. He was awarded the BSA District Award of Merit in 2011. He lives very near Joe Pool Lake, and since all three of his sons remain in the Grand Prairie area and are "outdoor guys," many of their activities are nature-centered.
Randy's background in business, real estate and construction gives him a unique and comprehensive perspective on the process of buying and selling property. He has a keen eye for evaluating and estimating needed repairs and their cost-effectiveness. He understands the needs of buyers, sellers, and investors, and words diligently to represent each with a high degree of professionalism and expertise. He is both self-motivated and organized, and no one works harder. His energy and enthusiasm for what he does comes from the desire to become your "friend in the real estate business."
